One chip, permanent identification, no renewals
A pet microchip sits under the skin between the shoulder blades, roughly the size of a grain of rice, placed by a vet in seconds. United Pet Club stocks three ISO 11784/11785 families, Standard ISO, TapSense, and ThermaSense, and each one carries free lifetime registration in our pet registry from day one.
What the chip actually does
No battery, no signal, no way to locate your pet in real time. A microchip stores one thing only: a fixed ID code inside a small glass capsule, readable for the rest of your pet's life once a scanner passes over it. When a vet or an Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) officer scans a stray, that code pulls up whichever registry holds your details.
United Pet Club chips meet ISO 11784/11785, so clinics anywhere with a compliant scanner can read them, useful if your pet ever travels or changes hands. Each chip also carries ICAR registration, and every order comes with a free QR pet ID tag, a backup that works even for a neighbour with no scanner, just a phone camera.
Weighing up which chip to buy? Our microchip comparison guide sets Standard ISO, TapSense, and ThermaSense next to each other.
Three families, one registry behind all of them
Standard ISO
The entry point: ISO 11784/11785 identification, readable by any standard scanner in Singapore or overseas.
TapSense
ISO compatibility plus smartphone tap reading. Available as TapSense or TapSense Core, several sizes each.
ThermaSense
Identification plus built-in temperature sensing for health tracking. Available as ThermaSense or ThermaSense X, several sizes each.
Why owners here go with United Pet Club
ISO standard, FDX-B certified
Reads on the same scanners already sitting at clinics and AVS-licensed premises.
ICAR registered
Recognised by the International Committee for Animal Recording, the body vets rely on for chip standards.
Free, for life
Registration and every contact update after that cost nothing, for as long as you own the pet.
Compact needle and chip
Sized for a quick, low-stress implant across cat, small dog, and large breed alike.
Less plastic waste
An optional reusable injector keeps the needle itself separate, cutting single-use plastic.
Upgrade if you want to
Add scan notifications or a record of where your pet's tag was last searched, on top of the free plan.
The registry that does the actual reuniting
Every chip ships already linked to the United Pet Club pet registry, searchable around the clock and part of the AAHA universal microchip lookup. Anyone who finds a stray, at a void deck, along a park connector, or outside a mall, can run a free microchip lookup with nothing to sign up for. Registration never expires, contact details update in minutes whenever you move flats or switch numbers, and some plans send a notice the moment your pet's chip or tag gets scanned.
Pet already carrying a chip from elsewhere? Register the microchip number with us regardless, or read what free registration includes first.
Microchip questions from owners in Singapore
Is microchipping compulsory for dogs in Singapore?
It is. The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) requires every dog to be licensed and microchipped, with no exceptions for HDB, condo, or landed property owners, and puppies must be chipped by three months old. It's one of the tightest such rules in the region. United Pet Club registers any ISO chip free for life, which covers the registry side of things at no extra cost.
Does a microchip tell me exactly where my pet is?
No. There's no battery or GPS in it. It stores an ID number, read by a scanner only once your pet is found and brought to a clinic. Live tracking needs a separate GPS collar or tag.
What does ISO microchip actually mean?
It means the chip meets ISO 11784/11785, so any compliant scanner can read it regardless of the country or company that sold it. That's why a pet chipped here stays identifiable if it's ever found overseas.
Which chip family should I pick?
Go Standard ISO for straightforward permanent ID. Pick TapSense if you want a smartphone tap option alongside a standard scanner. Choose ThermaSense for identification plus temperature sensing.
Do vets and AVS-licensed clinics recognise United Pet Club chips?
Yes. Our chips are ISO 11784/11785 compliant and ICAR registered, so any scanner built for standard microchips reads ours without issue.
