Registration & Recovery

Recovery chances drop quickly in the first hours

A pet found and reported within the first few hours has a much better chance of a quick reunion than one still missing after a few days, by which point it may have travelled far from the locality or been taken in by someone with no idea it's lost. Act immediately instead of waiting to see if it returns on its own.

Local shelters, RWAs and lost pet networks all matter

Reporting a lost pet directly to nearby shelters and the resident welfare association still works better than relying on an app alone, since not every finder checks the same platform an owner does. Covering both raises the chances.

What should I do in the first hour after my pet goes missing?

Search the immediate area, inform neighbours and the RWA, and report to local shelters and animal control right away, along with posting to local lost pet networks.

Do lost pet recovery apps actually work?

They help, especially in localities with high adoption, but they work best combined with direct shelter and neighbour outreach, not as a replacement for it.
