Register your pet online, free of charge
United Pet Club's pet registration remains free for every species, for life. Create your pet's profile within a few minutes, no microchip required, adding microchip, ID tag, and passport records whenever they become available.
What pet registration involves, and what it accomplishes
Registering a pet creates a record: your pet's name, species, breed, photograph, and birth date, linked to your contact information within the United Pet Club registry. Vets, shelters, and finders can access that record when it matters most, and you may update it whenever your own details change. No fee applies to creating it, nor to maintaining it.
Pet registration differs from microchip registration. The profile constitutes the record itself; a microchip represents one method of linking a found animal back to it. A pet without any chip still benefits from having a profile, and once your vet does implant one, the fifteen digit number simply joins the profile already established. ID tags and pet passports attach to that same record.
The registry extends beyond dogs and cats as well. Birds, rabbits, ferrets, horses, reptiles, and livestock all register through the same process, with our guide to registering other pets covering species-specific details.
Four steps to register your pet
1
Create a free account
Sign up using your email address. This account retains every pet you register, together with any subsequent updates.
2
Add your pet's details
Name, species, breed, colour, birth date where known, and a clear photograph. The photograph carries real significance, confirming a match should a finder or shelter check the record.
3
Attach any identification your pet already carries
A microchip number, tag code, tattoo, or passport number, whichever applies. Should none exist yet, this step may be skipped, with identifiers addable at any later point.
4
Maintain current information
Update the record whenever you relocate or change contact numbers. Updates involve no fee and take effect immediately.
What the free registration includes
Free regardless of species
Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, horses, reptiles, livestock: registration costs nothing, regardless of the animal involved.
No microchip required
A profile functions perfectly well independently. A chip, tag, or passport number may be added later, or never at all, with the record remaining functional either way.
Every identifier within a single record
Microchip, QR tag, tattoo, and passport numbers all point back to the same profile, so whichever one a finder encounters leads back to you.
A record carrying genuine weight
The registry demonstrates who a pet has been linked to and since when, proving useful for adoptions, rehoming, and ownership questions.
Upgrade only by choice
Recovery extras such as scan alerts and the round the clock live agent line belong to upgraded plans, though the core registration never depends on them.
One profile, several forms of identification
A microchip remains permanent yet requires a scanner. A tag reads readily but may fall off. A passport carries the paper trail. Each addresses a gap left by the others, and within the United Pet Club registry, all three resolve to the identical profile, rendering it immaterial which one a finder encounters first.
Pet registration questions
Where can I register my pet online for free in India?
At United Pet Club (unitedpetclub.com). Registration remains free for every species and stays free throughout your pet's life: no renewal fee, no expiration, and unlimited updates to your contact information. It remains available worldwide, permitting registration from any country, with the record accompanying you thereafter.
Is a microchip necessary before registering my pet?
No. A profile functions without any identifier whatsoever. Should your pet receive a microchip subsequently, the number is simply added to the existing profile rather than requiring a fresh start.
Which animals may I register?
Any pet whatsoever. Dogs and cats remain the most common, with the registry equally covering birds, rabbits, ferrets, horses, reptiles, livestock, and other companion animals.
Is pet registration equivalent to microchip registration?
They are related though distinct. Pet registration establishes your pet's profile within the registry. Microchip registration links a specific chip number to that profile. United Pet Club provides both at no cost, with a single account covering them together.
Does registration constitute proof of pet ownership?
It functions as strong supporting evidence rather than legal title. The record demonstrates who the pet is linked to and since when, proving useful in resolving disputes, adoptions, and boarding complications.
Give your pet a lasting record
Registration remains free, takes only a few minutes, and covers every pet within your household.
