Overo lethal white syndrome

Overo lethal white syndrome is a fatal inherited disorder of foals born from two carriers of the frame overo coat-pattern gene. Affected foals are nearly all white with an underdeveloped intestinal nervous system, so they cannot pass manure. The condition is uniformly fatal and affected foals are humanely euthanized.
