A permanent ID your pet keeps for life
A pet microchip is a tiny ID device, about the size of a grain of rice, that a vet places just under your dog or cat's skin in a quick clinic visit. United Pet Club carries three ISO 11784/11785 chip families, Standard ISO, TapSense, and ThermaSense, and each one comes with free lifetime registration in our pet registry.
How a microchip helps bring a lost pet home
There's no battery inside a microchip and no way to track it by GPS. What's inside is a tiny glass capsule holding one unique code, placed between the shoulder blades, readable for as long as your pet lives. A vet, a city or municipal veterinary office, or a barangay animal control team scans a stray with a handheld reader, and that code pulls up your contact details from the registry behind it.
Every United Pet Club chip meets ISO 11784/11785, the international standard, so it reads on ordinary scanners almost anywhere, whether your pet is found near your own barangay or across the country during a trip. Our chips also carry ICAR registration, and every order ships with a free QR pet ID tag for the collar, useful for a fast reunion even before anyone gets near a scanner.
Not sure which chip family fits your pet? Our microchip comparison guide lines up Standard ISO, TapSense, and ThermaSense side by side.
Three chip families, one registry
Standard ISO
The baseline chip, built to ISO 11784/11785, readable by any standard scanner used by vets and LGU pounds nationwide.
TapSense
Keeps full ISO compatibility and adds smartphone tap reading on top, sold as TapSense or TapSense Core in several sizes.
ThermaSense
Pairs identification with built-in temperature sensing for health monitoring, sold as ThermaSense or ThermaSense X in several sizes.

A free registry built to reunite lost pets
Every microchip we sell ships already connected to the United Pet Club pet registry, searchable any hour by vets and shelters, and included in the AAHA universal microchip lookup. Anyone who finds a stray can run a free microchip lookup, no account required. Registration stays free for the life of your pet, you can change your contact details whenever your barangay or city changes, and on some plans you'll get a notice the moment your pet's chip or tag gets scanned.
Already have a pet chipped by another company? You can still register the microchip number with us, or check what free registration includes before you start.
Microchip questions from Filipino pet owners
Is microchipping required for dogs in the Philippines?
The Anti-Rabies Act, Republic Act No. 9482, requires dog owners nationwide to have their dogs vaccinated against rabies and registered with their local government unit, and many cities and barangays now run their own microchipping drives alongside that registration. Rules and enforcement vary by LGU, so check with your barangay or city veterinary office for local requirements. Whatever your dog's chip brand, United Pet Club registers it free for life, adding a searchable contact record on top of whatever your LGU keeps on file.
Can a microchip show me exactly where my pet is?
No. There's no battery and no GPS inside. A microchip only stores an ID number, read by a scanner once your pet turns up at a vet clinic or shelter. If you want live tracking, you need a separate GPS collar or tag, not a microchip.
What makes a microchip an ISO microchip?
It meets ISO 11784/11785, the international standard that lets any properly equipped scanner read the chip, no matter which country or company sold it. That's why a pet chipped here can still be identified if it ends up somewhere else.
Which United Pet Club chip should I get for my pet?
Standard ISO covers straightforward, permanent ID. TapSense adds a smartphone tap option on top of a standard scanner. ThermaSense pairs identification with temperature sensing for health monitoring.
Will vets and city pounds recognize a United Pet Club microchip?
Yes. Our chips meet ISO 11784/11785 and carry ICAR registration, the same standards used across the industry, so any scanner built for standard microchips reads ours the same way.
