United Pet Club

A Holter monitor, rented for just as long as your vet needs

If your veterinarian has asked you to record your pet's heart rhythm over a day or two, renting a Holter monitor gets you the device without buying equipment you'll likely use only once. Members get a discount, and every rental ships both ways.

What is a Holter monitor?

A Holter monitor is a small, wearable device that records your dog or cat's heart activity continuously, usually for 24 to 48 hours, while your pet eats, sleeps, and moves around as usual. Your veterinarian may recommend one when a short in-clinic exam doesn't catch an irregular heartbeat, or to keep an eye on a diagnosed condition such as dilated cardiomyopathy. Your vet, or a cardiologist they refer you to, reviews the recording and explains what it shows.

Because it's a short-term diagnostic tool, most owners only need a Holter monitor once. Renting through United Pet Club means you pay for the days you actually need it, rather than for equipment that sits in a drawer afterward.

United Pet Club members get a discount on the rental rate, and a paid membership isn't required to qualify. If your vet wants ongoing monitoring, ask about rent-to-own. If your dog also needs mobility support, have a look at our dog wheelchair rentals.

Why rent a Holter monitor instead of buying one

●

Built for a one-time need

Most dogs and cats wear a Holter monitor once. Renting matches the cost to that reality, rather than asking you to buy equipment for a single recording.

●

Discounted for members

Every United Pet Club member gets a discount on the rental rate, and paid tiers carry a bigger discount and quota on top of that.

●

Two-way shipping included

We discount shipping in both directions and prepay your return label, so you're not scrambling for a box when it's time to send the monitor back.

●

Rent-to-own if needed

If your vet asks for repeated or ongoing recordings, ask about converting your rental into a purchase.

Holter monitor rental questions

How long does my dog wear a Holter monitor?

That's up to your veterinarian. Most Holter recordings run 24 to 48 hours, but your vet may want a longer or shorter window. Confirm the exact length with your vet before you start the rental.

Do I need a prescription to rent a Holter monitor?

A Holter monitor is meant to be used under your veterinarian's direction. We recommend renting only after your vet has said they want a recording, so you already know the timing and setup they expect.

How much does it cost to rent a Holter monitor?

Cost depends on how long you rent it and your membership tier's discount. Contact us with your vet's recommended recording window and we'll quote you directly.

Can I buy the Holter monitor instead of returning it?

Rent-to-own is available on request. Mention it when you contact us to arrange the rental, and we'll explain how the conversion works.

Is return shipping included?

Yes. We prepay your return label as part of the rental, so shipping both ways is taken care of.
