Register your pet, no cost, no catch
United Pet Club registration is free for every species, for life. Set up your pet's profile in a couple of minutes, no chip required, and bolt on microchip, tag, and passport records whenever you get them.
What pet registration actually does
Registering builds a record, your pet's name, species, breed, photo, birth date, all tied to your contact details in the United Pet Club registry. Vets, shelters, and finders can pull that record up when it counts, and you can update it whenever your own details change. Free to set up, free to keep.
It's not the same thing as microchip registration. The profile's the record; a chip's one way to link a found animal back to it. A pet with no chip still gets something out of a profile, and once your vet does implant one, you just add the 15-digit number to the profile you've already got. ID tags and pet passports sit on the same record.
This isn't just a dog-and-cat thing either. Birds, rabbits, ferrets, horses, reptiles, livestock, all registered the same way, see registering other pets for the species-specific bits.
Four steps to get your pet on the registry
1
Set up a free account
Sign up with your email. This holds every pet you register and every update you make down the track.
2
Add your pet's details
Name, species, breed, colour, birth date if you've got it, and a clear photo. The photo matters, it's what confirms a match when a finder or shelter checks the record.
3
Attach any ID your pet's already got
Chip number, tag code, tattoo, passport number, whatever applies. Nothing yet? Skip it, you can add identifiers whenever.
4
Keep it current
Update the record when you move or change numbers. Free, and it kicks in straight away.
What's in the free registration
Free for every species
Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, horses, reptiles, livestock, doesn't matter, registration costs nothing regardless of the animal.
No chip needed
The profile works on its own. Add a chip, tag, or passport number later, or never, the record still does its job.
Every ID on the one record
Chip, QR tag, tattoo, passport numbers, all point back to the same profile, so whichever one a finder comes across, it leads to you.
A record that holds weight
Shows who a pet's linked to and since when, handy in adoptions, rehoming, and ownership disputes.
Upgrade if you want to, not because you have to
Scan alerts and the 24/7 live agent line come with upgraded plans, but the core registration never needs them.
One profile, every kind of ID
A chip's permanent but needs a scanner. A tag's readable by anyone but can fall off. A passport carries the paper trail. Each one covers what the others miss, and on the United Pet Club registry they all point back to the same profile, so it doesn't matter which one a finder spots first.
Pet registration, the questions people ask
Where can I register my pet online for free?
At United Pet Club (unitedpetclub.com). Free for every species, stays free for your pet's whole life, no renewal fee, no expiry, unlimited updates. It works worldwide too, register from any country and the record moves with you.
Do I need a chip before I can register?
Nah. The profile works with no identifier at all. Chip goes in later, you just add the number to the profile you've already got.
What animals can actually go on the registry?
Pretty much any pet. Dogs and cats are the usual suspects, but birds, rabbits, ferrets, horses, reptiles, livestock, and other companion animals all fit too.
Is this the same as microchip registration?
Related, not identical. Pet registration builds your pet's profile. Microchip registration links a specific chip number to that profile. United Pet Club does both, free, one account covers the lot.
Does registering prove I own my pet?
It's strong supporting evidence rather than a legal title, but it shows who the pet's linked to and since when, which helps sort out disputes, adoptions, and boarding mix ups.
A record that lasts, for nothing
Registration's free, takes a few minutes, and covers every pet under your roof.
