Color lepre
Dog color: a grizzled fawn of tawny, fawn and black-tipped hairs, like a hare's coat; the French hounds' 'poil de lièvre'. The Beagle's hare pied and the dark fawn of the Artois and Artesian Norman hounds, 'similar to the coat of the hare or the badger' (FCI 161, 28, 34). Compare badger gray, the grayer form, fawn and the agouti pattern.
