腺疫是由馬鏈球菌馬亞種(Streptococcus equi subsp. equi)所引起,好發於馬及驢上呼吸道的高度傳染性細菌病。表現為發燒、流鼻水,以及頭頸部淋巴結化膿。疫情在群體中傳播迅速,部分患病動物會成為長期帶原者。
