Đậu gà là bệnh virus lây lan chậm ở chim, do avipoxvirus gây ra. Thể da (khô) tạo ra các nốt sần dạng mụn cóc trên vùng da không có lông, trong khi thể bạch hầu (ướt) gây tổn thương ở miệng và đường hô hấp trên. Tỷ lệ tử vong thường thấp nhưng năng suất giảm, và thể ướt đôi khi có thể gây tử vong.
