Osteokondroz, büyüyen atlarda kıkırdak olgunlaşmasının gelişimsel bir bozukluğudur ve eklemler içinde kusurlu kemik oluşumuna yol açar. Parçalar ayrıldığında osteokondritis dissekans (OCD) olarak adlandırılır. Genellikle hokka, diz ve bilek eklemini etkiler ve genç atlarda eklem şişmesi ve topallığa neden olabilir.
