Kriptosporidiyoz, birçok türde ortak olan ve zoonotik olan protozoan parazit Cryptosporidium'un neden olduğu bir bağırsak enfeksiyonudur. Genç gelinciklerde en sık görülür ve az veya hiç belirti göstermeden sıklıkla paraziti atarlar. Bağışıklığı yeterli gelinciklerde hastalık genellikle hafif ve kendiliğinden sınırlıdır, ancak bağışıklığı baskılanmış hayvanlar ve insanlar kalıcı sulu ishal geliştirebilir. İyi hijyen bulaşmayı sınırlar.
