Metaldehydförgiftning (snigelgift)
Also known as: Förgiftning genom snigelbekämpningsmedel
Metaldehyd, som används i snigelgift, orsakar kraftiga skakningar och kramper, historiskt kallat 'shake and bake'-syndromet på grund av den medföljande hypertermin. De klifbaserade pelletsen är mycket smakliga för hundar. Det finns ingen motgift, och snabb temperaturkontroll är avgörande.
