Hovfångst
Also known as: Akut hovfångst
Hovfångst är en smärtsam inflammation och kollaps av lamellerna som binder hovväggen till det underliggande hovbenet. Den följer ofta på en endokrin sjukdom, spannmålsöverbelastning, allvarlig systemisk sjukdom eller överdriven belastning på ett ben. I allvarliga fall roterar eller sjunker hovbenet inne i hoven, vilket orsakar invalidiserande hälta.
