Трихомоноз — протозойное заболевание, вызываемое Trichomonas gallinae, иногда называемое канкером или фрунцелем. Вызывает творожистые жёлтые поражения во рту, глотке и зобе, которые могут мешать приёму пищи и дыханию. Часто поражает волнистых попугайчиков и голубей; заболевание распространяется через загрязнённый корм, воду и при выкармливании птенцов.
