Colaps traheal

Colapsul traheal este o slăbire şi aplatizare progresivă a inelelor cartilaginoase ale traheei, frecventă la câinii de talie mică şi rasele miniaturale. Traheea înmuiată se îngustează în timpul respiraţiei, producând o tuse uscată caracteristică, asemănătoare cu un sunet de gâscă. Agitaţia, căldura, obezitatea şi efortul agravează episoadele. Este o afecţiune cronică, controlabilă, dar incurabilă.
