Eggbinding (dystoki)
Also known as: Fastsittende egg
Eggbinding er manglende evne hos en hunnfugl til å presse ut et ferdigdannet egg gjennom eggleder og kloakk innen normal tid. Det er en potensielt livstruende nødsituasjon, forårsaket av for store eller feildannede egg, kalsiummangel, egglederdysfunksjon eller overvekt. Fastsittende egg kan gi pressing, fremfall, bukhinnebetennelse og død.
