Cloaca-/eileiderprolaps

Cloaca- of eileiderprolaps is het uitstulpen van cloaca- of eileiderweefsel door de cloaca, meestal samenhangend met het leggen. Het wordt veroorzaakt door overmatig persen, te grote eieren, legnood, obesitas of voortijdig begin van de leg. Uitgestulpt weefsel is vatbaar voor uitdroging, infectie en kannibalistisch pikken door soortgenoten.
