Tetanus
Also known as: Rahang kejang
Tetanus ialah penyakit yang sering membawa maut, disebabkan oleh toksin bakteria Clostridium tetani yang memasuki badan melalui luka. Kuda dan keldai antara spesies yang paling terdedah kepada penyakit ini. Toksin ini menyekat isyarat saraf perencat, menyebabkan kekejangan otot dan spasma yang teruk.
