Skrapi ialah penyakit neurodegeneratif progresif yang membawa maut pada biri-biri dan kambing dan merupakan prototaip ensefalopati spongiform berjangkit (penyakit prion). Ia disebabkan oleh pengumpulan protein prion yang salah lipat dalam otak, membawa kepada perubahan spongiform. Tanda klinikal termasuk kegatalan hebat, kerontokan bulu, perubahan tingkah laku, gigilan, dan ketidakseimbangan selama berbulan-bulan. Kerentanan genetik amat dipengaruhi oleh genotip protein prion (PRNP), dan penyakit ini wajib dilaporkan di banyak negara.
