Laringotrakeitis berjangkit ialah penyakit herpesvirus akut yang amat mudah merebak pada saluran pernafasan atas ayam. Bentuk teruk menyebabkan sesak nafas ketara, tercungap-cungap dan batuk lendir berdarah akibat trakeitis hemoragik. Virus ini mewujudkan jangkitan terpendam, dan burung yang pulih boleh menjadi pembawa sepanjang hayat.
