Jangkitan serpentovirus (nidovirus python)

Nidovirus python, kini diklasifikasikan dalam kumpulan serpentovirus, ialah punca virus penyakit pernafasan berjangkit pada python, terutamanya ball python. Virus ini menyasarkan epitelium pernafasan dan mulut, menghasilkan lendir, pernafasan mulut terbuka, plak mulut, dan radang paru-paru progresif. Jangkitan sering kronik dan boleh membawa maut, dengan pembawa subklinikal membantu penyebaran secara senyap dalam koleksi. Ia telah menjadi punca utama penyakit pernafasan pada ball python peliharaan.
