Cacar ayam

Cacar ayam ialah penyakit virus yang merebak perlahan pada burung, disebabkan oleh avipoxvirus. Bentuk kulit (kering) menghasilkan nodul seakan kutil pada kulit tidak berbulu, manakala bentuk difteritik (basah) menyebabkan lesi dalam mulut dan saluran pernafasan atas. Kadar kematian biasanya rendah tetapi pengeluaran menurun, dan bentuk basah kadangkala boleh membawa maut.
