Miksomatoza

Miksomatoza je teška, često smrtonosna poksvirusna bolest kunića uzrokovana virusom miksoma, a širi se uglavnom kukcima koji sišu krv, poput buha i komaraca. Očituje se karakterističnim oteklinama vjeđa, njuške, ušiju i genitalija te sluzavo-gnojnim iscjetkom iz očiju i nosa. Kod osjetljivih domaćih kunića bolest nerijetko dovodi do uginuća u roku od jednog do dva tjedna. U nekim regijama podliježe obveznom prijavljivanju.
