Hemangiosarkom

Also known as: rak krvnih žila

Hemangiosarkom je agresivan tumor stanica koje oblažu krvne žile, a u pasa najčešće zahvaća slezenu, srce ili jetru. Tumori su krhki i skloni pucanju, što uzrokuje iznenadno unutarnje krvarenje koje se može očitovati kolapsom ili slabošću zbog gubitka krvi. Bolest rano i opsežno metastazira, a u trenutku otkrivanja često je već uznapredovala. Prognoza ostaje oprezna i uz kirurško liječenje i kemoterapiju.

These breeds are recorded as more prone to Hemangiosarkom than their species as a whole. Many animals of these breeds never develop it.
