मास्टाइटिस

मास्टाइटिस स्तन ग्रंथियों की सूजन है, जो आमतौर पर जीवाणु संक्रमण से होती है, जो स्तनपान कराने वाली मादा खरगोशों में सबसे अधिक होती है। प्रभावित ग्रंथियां सूज जाती हैं, गर्म हो जाती हैं, लाल या नीली हो जाती हैं, और दर्दनाक होती हैं। मादा खरगोश को बुखार हो सकता है और वह खाना बंद कर सकती है। स्टैफिलोकॉकस और पास्चुरेला जैसे जीवाणु आम कारण हैं, जो अक्सर त्वचा के घाव या निप्पल की चोट से प्रवेश करते हैं। अनुपचारित रहने पर यह फोड़ा या जानलेवा रक्त संक्रमण में बदल सकता है।
