מצב מולד שבו אחד האשכים או שניהם אינם יורדים אל שק האשכים ונשארים בבטן או בתעלה המפשעתית. ההורשה מורכבת, ככל הנראה תלוית מין, והמצב נפוץ יותר בגזעים קטנים וזעירים. אשכים שמורים נושאים סיכון מוגבר לניאופלזיה ולפיתול.
