The Croatian Sheepdog is built for quick, sustained movement. The body is slightly longer than it is tall, the chest is moderately deep, and the legs are lean. Coat and colors

The standard calls for a base color of black; a small amount of white is allowed on the chest and the tips of the toes, while larger white patches are a fault. As an active medium-sized breed, the Croatian Sheepdog needs a complete and balanced diet with enough protein and fat to support its working energy.
