کریپتوسپوریدیوز یک عفونت روده‌ای ناشی از انگل تک‌یاخته‌ای کریپتوسپوریدیوم است که زئونوتیک بوده و بین گونه‌های بسیاری مشترک است. فرت‌های جوان بیشترین درگیری را دارند و اغلب انگل را دفع می‌کنند در حالی که علائم کمی یا هیچ علامتی نشان نمی‌دهند. در فرت‌های با سیستم ایمنی سالم بیماری معمولاً خفیف و خودمحدودشونده است، اما حیوانات و انسان‌های دارای نقص ایمنی ممکن است اسهال آبکی مداوم پیدا کنند. بهداشت خوب انتقال را محدود می‌کند.
