آبله طیور یک بیماری ویروسی کندگسترش در پرندگان است که توسط آویپوکس‌ویروس‌ها ایجاد می‌شود. شکل پوستی (خشک) گره‌های زگیل‌مانند روی پوست بدون پر ایجاد می‌کند، در حالی که شکل دیفتریتیک (مرطوب) باعث ضایعات دهانی و دستگاه تنفسی فوقانی می‌شود. تلفات معمولاً پایین است اما تولید کاهش می‌یابد و شکل مرطوب می‌تواند کشنده باشد.
