آبله پرندگان در قناری یک بیماری ویروسی است که توسط یک پوکس‌ویروس ایجاد می‌شود و اغلب توسط پشه منتقل می‌شود. این بیماری به شکل پوستی خشک با ضایعات زگیل‌مانند و شکل مرطوب یا سیستمیک خطرناک‌تر که دستگاه تنفسی را درگیر می‌کند رخ می‌دهد. شکل سیستمیک در قناری می‌تواند مرگ‌ومیر بالایی ایجاد کند، به‌ویژه در فصل پشه.
