Navicular disease
Navicular disease, or navicular syndrome, is a chronic degenerative condition of the navicular bone and its associated structures in the horse's foot. It is a common cause of forelimb lameness, especially in athletic horses. Affected horses develop intermittent, often bilateral lameness that worsens with work.
