Glaucoma
Hereditary
Glaucoma is a painful increase in pressure within the eye that damages the retina and optic nerve, leading to vision loss. It may be primary (often inherited, breed-related) or secondary to other eye disease. Acute glaucoma is an emergency, and rapid treatment is needed to save vision.
