Canine compulsive disorder
Hereditary
Canine compulsive disorder describes repetitive, exaggerated, and seemingly purposeless behaviours such as acral lick dermatitis, spinning, tail chasing, flank sucking, and light or shadow chasing. The behaviours are difficult to interrupt and interfere with normal function. Certain breeds, including Doberman Pinschers and Bull Terriers, show clear genetic predispositions.
