Saddle

A dark saddle over the back and upper sides of a tan, red or fawn coat, the head, legs and underside staying light: the black-and-tan saddle of German Shepherds and of Airedale, Welsh and Lakeland Terriers, saddle-marked Beagles and Bloodhounds. A single dark patch on the back is the marking Saddle.
