Hemangiosarcoma
Hemangiosarcoma is an aggressive cancer of cells lining blood vessels, most often affecting the spleen, heart, or liver in dogs. Tumors are fragile and prone to rupture, causing sudden internal bleeding that may present as collapse or weakness from blood loss. It spreads early and widely, and the disease is frequently advanced by the time it is detected. Prognosis is guarded even with surgery and chemotherapy.
