Bumblefoot (pododermatitis) in birds
Bumblefoot is an inflammatory and often infectious condition of the underside of a bird's foot, also called pododermatitis. It develops from pressure, poor perching, obesity, and abrasive or unsanitary surfaces that damage the foot skin. Lesions range from mild redness and flattening to deep infected swellings that cause lameness.
