স্ক্র্যাপি ভেড়া ও ছাগলের একটি মারাত্মক, প্রগতিশীল স্নায়ু-ক্ষয়কারী রোগ এবং সংক্রামক স্পঞ্জিফর্ম এনসেফালোপ্যাথি (প্রায়ন রোগ)-এর প্রোটোটাইপ। এটি মস্তিষ্কে অস্বাভাবিকভাবে ভুলভাবে ভাঁজ করা প্রায়ন প্রোটিন জমা হওয়ার কারণে হয়, যা স্পঞ্জের মতো পরিবর্তন ঘটায়। ক্লিনিক্যাল লক্ষণগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে মাসব্যাপী তীব্র চুলকানি, উলের ক্ষতি, আচরণগত পরিবর্তন, কম্পন, ও ভারসাম্যহীনতা। জেনেটিক সংবেদনশীলতা প্রায়ন প্রোটিন জিন (PRNP) জিনোটাইপ দ্বারা প্রবলভাবে প্রভাবিত হয়, এবং এই রোগ অনেক দেশে রিপোর্টযোগ্য।
