تسمم النحاس

تسمم النحاس هو التسمم بفائض من النحاس، وتُعد الأغنام حساسة له بشكل فريد لأنها تخزن النحاس في الكبد حتى يتحرر فجأة. يؤدي الإفراط المزمن في المكملات أو الأعلاف الغنية بالنحاس أو تغذية أعلاف الأبقار أو الخنازير إلى تراكم النحاس في الكبد على مدى أسابيع إلى أشهر. ثم يسبب محفز توتر أزمة انحلالية مفاجئة مع تكسر ضخم لكريات الدم الحمراء واليرقان وبول بني داكن وضعف ونفوق غالباً. الماعز والجمليات أكثر تحملاً لكن يمكن أن تتأثر أيضاً.
