نبذة عن حمام المودينا

حمام المودينا سلالة إيطالية متوسطة الحجم، مكتنزة الجسم، تربى لتنوع ألوانها الواسع وطباعها الهادئة الودودة.

يعود أصل حمام المودينا إلى شمال إيطاليا، وسمي على اسم مدينة مودينا التي نشأ فيها. يتميز هذا الطائر ببنية مكتنزة قصيرة ومدورة، على عكس السلالات الطويلة النحيلة، ويربى بشكل أساسي لأغراض العرض والاستئناس، لا للسباق ولا لإنتاج اللحم.

يصنف حمام المودينا ضمن فئتين رئيسيتين في مسابقات العرض. الفئة الأولى تعرف باسم سكييتي (Schietti) وتضم الطيور ذات اللون الواحد الموحد على كامل الجسم، أما الفئة الثانية فتعرف باسم غاتزي (Gazzi) وتتميز برأس وأجنحة وذيل ملونة على خلفية جسم أبيض. وبفضل هذا التنوع الكبير في الألوان والأنماط بين الفئتين، حافظت السلالة على قاعدة عريضة من المربين المتابعين لها.

تاريخ حمام المودينا وأصله

نشأ حمام المودينا في مدينة مودينا الإيطالية وضواحيها، وتوارث المربون تحسينه لقرون قبل اعتماده سلالة عرض قياسية وانتشاره خارج إيطاليا.

سميت هذه السلالة نسبة إلى مدينة مودينا الواقعة في إقليم إميليا رومانيا شمال إيطاليا، حيث تعود تربية الحمام في المنطقة إلى عصور قديمة. انتقى المربون المحليون عبر أجيال متعاقبة الطيور الأكثر تميزا في اللون والبنية القصيرة المدورة. وكانت السلالات الإيطالية الأولى تشارك أحيانا في رياضة جماعية يطلق فيها الحمام ثم يساق ويمسك، وهو ما رسخ صفات القوة والنشاط في الطائر.

ومع مرور الوقت، تحول اهتمام المربين من الأداء في الطيران إلى المظهر الخارجي، فاستقر الانتقاء على البنية المكتنزة والوقفة المنتصبة ومجموعة الألوان الواسعة التي تميز السلالة حتى اليوم. وفي هذه المرحلة ترسخت فئتا العرض المعروفتان: سكييتي (Schietti) للطيور أحادية اللون، وغاتزي (Gazzi) للنمط ذي الجسم الأبيض والعلامات الملونة.
