التهاب الضرع

التهاب الضرع هو التهاب في الغدد الثديية، ينجم غالباً عن عدوى جرثومية، ويحدث أكثر ما يحدث لدى الإناث المرضعة. تصبح الغدد المصابة متورمة وحارة ومحمرة أو مزرقة ومؤلمة، وقد تصاب الأنثى بالحمى وتتوقف عن الأكل. وتُعد بكتيريا مثل العنقودية والباستوريلا من الأسباب الشائعة، وغالباً ما تدخل عبر جروح الجلد أو الحلمات المصابة. ويمكن أن يتطور إلى تقيح أو عدوى دموية مهددة للحياة إذا تُرك دون علاج.
