عن حمام المودينا

المودينا حمام زينة إيطالي متوسط الحجم، مكتنز البنية، يُربى لتنوع ألوانه الواسع وطبعه الهادئ المسالم.

المودينا سلالة حمام زينة نشأت في شمال إيطاليا، وسُمّيت باسم مدينة مودينا. جسمها قصير ومكتنز، بمعنى أن الجسم مدور وقصير بدل أن يكون ممدودًا ونحيلًا. تُربى هذه السلالة أساسًا للعرض وكرفيق أليف في الحظيرة، لا للسباق ولا لإنتاج اللحم.

يُعترف بنوعين رئيسيين من أنواع العرض: الشيتّي (Schietti)، وهي طيور بلون واحد موحد، والجاتزي (Gazzi)، وفيها يكون الرأس والجناحان والذيل ملونة بينما باقي الجسم أبيض. وفي كلا النوعين تظهر السلالة بمجموعة واسعة جدًا من الألوان والأنماط، وهذا أحد أسباب رواجها بين مربّي الحمام.

التاريخ والأصل

نشأ حمام المودينا في مدينة مودينا الإيطالية وما حولها، حيث تمت تربيته لقرون قبل أن يُوحَّد معياره ويُصدَّر إلى دول أخرى كسلالة عرض.

تحمل السلالة اسم مدينة مودينا في إقليم إميليا رومانيا بشمال إيطاليا. تربية الحمام في هذه المنطقة قديمة، وقد انتُقيت الطيور المحلية عبر أجيال كثيرة من أجل اللون والجسم القصير المدور. وكانت الأسلاف الإيطالية للسلالة تُطلق أحيانًا في رياضة جماعية يُطارَد فيها الحمام ويُمسَك، وهو ما شجّع على ظهور نمط جسدي مكتنز ونشيط.

ومع الوقت تحوّل اهتمام المربين من أداء الطيران إلى المظهر. واستقر الاختيار على البنية المكتنزة والوقفة المنتصبة والمجموعة الواسعة من الألوان التي تميز السلالة اليوم. وفي هذه الفترة تأسس قسما العرض، الشيتّي للطيور أحادية اللون، والجاتزي لنمط العلامات الملونة على جسم أبيض.
