البورفيريا اضطراب وراثي نادر في تصنيع الهيم (الصبغة الحمراء للدم)، تتراكم فيه جزيئات سلفية تسمى البورفيرينات في الأنسجة. عند القطط المصابة، يسبب هذا تغير لون الأسنان والعظام والبول من البني إلى الوردي، وجلدًا حساسًا للضوء وأحيانًا فقر دم. تحدث عدة أشكال عند القطط، مع وراثة سائدة جسمية مبلغ عنها.
