تعريف بالحمام الموديني

الحمام الموديني سلالة إيطالية مكتنزة متوسطة الحجم من حمام الزينة، تُربّى لتنوّع ألوانها الواسع وطبعها الهادئ الوديع.

الحمام الموديني سلالة حمام زينة نشأت في شمال إيطاليا، وحمل اسمه عن مدينة مودينا التي يُنسب إليها. وهو طائر مكتنز القوام، أي أن جسمه قصير مستدير لا طويل نحيل، ويُربّى بالدرجة الأولى للعرض والمرافقة لا للسباق أو اللحم.

وللسلالة نمطان معروفان في المعارض: السكيتي (Schietti)، وهي طيور بلون واحد موحّد يغطي الجسم كله، والغاتزي (Gazzi)، وفيها يقتصر اللون على الرأس والجناحين والذيل بينما يبقى سائر الجسم أبيض. وضمن هذين النمطين تظهر السلالة في تشكيلة واسعة جدًا من الألوان والأنماط، وهذا أحد أسباب إقبال هواة الحمام عليها باستمرار.

أما طبعه فلطيف هادئ مسالم. يألف الحظيرة بسرعة ويتقبّل التعامل اليدوي دون توتر، لذا كثيرًا ما يُنصح به لمن يخطو أولى خطواته في هواية حمام الزينة. ويصل الطائر البالغ إلى حجم متوسط ويعيش عادة بين 8 و12 سنة إذا حظي برعاية جيدة.

الأصل والتاريخ

نشأ الحمام الموديني في مدينة مودينا الإيطالية وضواحيها، حيث رُبّي قرونًا طويلة قبل أن يُوحَّد معياره ويُصدَّر إلى دول أخرى سلالة عرض.

يحمل الحمام الموديني اسمه عن مدينة مودينا في إقليم إميليا رومانيا شمال إيطاليا. وتربية الحمام في هذه المنطقة قديمة العهد، وقد انتُخبت الطيور المحلية على مدى أجيال كثيرة لتحسين اللون واكتساب جسم قصير مستدير. وكان أسلاف السلالة الإيطاليون يُطلَقون أحيانًا في رياضة جماعية تقوم على مطاردة الحمام واصطياده، وهو ما رجّح ظهور نمط قوي نشيط الجسم.

ومع مرور الوقت تحوّل اهتمام المربّين من الأداء في الطيران إلى المظهر الخارجي. فاستقرّ الانتقاء على القوام المكتنز والوقفة المنتصبة والتشكيلة اللونية الواسعة التي تُعرَف بها السلالة اليوم. وفي هذه المرحلة تحديدًا ترسّخ التقسيم إلى فئتي العرض: السكيتي للطيور أحادية اللون، والغاتزي لنمط العلامات الملوّنة على جسم أبيض.

واليوم يُعدّ الحمام الموديني من أكثر سلالات حمام الزينة عددًا في المعارض، ويُربّى في أنحاء أوروبا وأمريكا الشمالية. ولا يزال تركيز التربية منصبًّا على الشكل والوقفة والتنوّع اللوني الواسع لا على أي استخدام عملي.
